2017-2019 International Sweetheart Named
Allisen Hagemeyer, former Sweetheart of the Sigma Chi Zeta Psi Chapter at the University of Cincinnati was announced as our Fraternity's International Sweetheart for 2017-2019. Hagemeyer was part of the top three candidates at the 81st Grand Chapter in Providence, Rhode Island. She will act as an ambassador for Sigma Chi for the next two years through her involvement in philanthropic and key events, interacting with undergraduates and their chapters.
Two of our brothers attend Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit
Brothers James Kastner and Aaron Benwic were recently named Huntsman Leadership Scholars for 2017, having attended the Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit in Snowbird, UT this month. Read more about their experiences here.
Whalers Final 2016
Whalers win the hockey final over the commerce Titans.
With 7 minutes remaining in the second period, the Whalers were facing a 3-0 deficit. 2 minutes later, the comeback started 3-1. The whalers would battle hard to try and get back in this game. With 3 minutes left, the Whalers make it 3-2 on a powerplay goal. 1 minute left, tie game and in over time the brothers brought it home.
Eagles Win Soccer Final 2016
The Sigma Chi Eagles won the UBC Rec - Handley Cup Soccer League Final for the 3rd year in a row. This year, tough competition brought onto the field by Regent College, but the Eagles were able to finish strong in the second half to take home the trophy with a score of 2-1.
Blood Drive
This year we were able to accomodate a numerous amount of people for the annual Blood Drive. Started in memory of our beloved alumni's brother, we hope to continue the tradition for years to come.

Gong Show 2016
Our Sweetheart, Denea Bascombe, does not seem too impressed by the performance taking place at our annual event, Gong Show. Needless to say, there were a wide array of skits but we hope Denea was able to enjoy a relaxed night hanging out with the Brothers of Sigma Chi.

Congratulations on initiation to the new members of Delta Omicron
In December, the Delta Omicron Chapter welcomed 25 newly initiated brothers. They were able to enjoy this amazing cake baked by one of our favourite white roses, Hanna Murray. Thank you Hanna for the cake. It was delicious!
Haunted House 2016
This year, the Sigma Chi Fraternity hosted its first annual Haunted House. With all proceeds donated to the B.C. Children's Hospital, the Brothers of Sigma Chi were able to raise $1,600+. A special thank you to everyone for coming out!
