"Men join fraternities... leaders of men join Sigma Chi"

Michelle La France

shelli.jpgThey say that a good man is hard to find. During my undergraduate years at UBC, I was fortunate enough to find myself in the company of over 60 of them. These men are the brothers of Sigma Chi.

My experience with the men of Sigma Chi shaped my college years, and has made me into the woman I am today. Were it not for the encouragement of my Sigma Chi friends, I would have never joined my sorority, and would not have made the most amazing friendships I have ever experienced.

Receiving the title of sweetheart was the greatest honour I have ever accepted in my life. Through the good times and bad, I could count on these guys to be there, offering a hand, or just a smile. The memories we made together will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am so proud to have had the opportunity to give back to this fraternity through my time as sweetheart, for it has truly given so much to me.

Love,
Michelle La France
