"Men join fraternities... leaders of men join Sigma Chi"

Jessica Price

Hello!  I would like to introduce myself, Jessica, as the current Sweetheart of Sigma Chi here at Delta Omicron.  Although this honor was bestowed upon me recently, my dedication to the fraternity is nothing new.

Like most people, once I began hanging out at the Sigma Chi house, I basically never left.  Getting to know the guys meant going to their parties, especially Booty Camp and Spring Fling, late night Whalers hockey games, backyard dinners and trips to the Gorge.  Even just hanging out at the house and playing beer pong with the guys remains one of my favorite pastimes.  But as I learned more about this group of men, I soon realized what truly unique and interesting characters existed within the fraternity.  They became more than just people to party or hang out with and instead brothers whose friendship I sincerely value.  The many personal, as well as fraternal accomplishments that have been achieved by Sigma Chi’s never cease to amaze me, and I could not ask to be surrounded by a more motivated group of individuals.  While events like Derby Days are always amazing, it is the leadership within the chapter that maintains Sigma Chi as one of the best fraternities on campus.  Such success I believe is also founded upon the brotherhood that is present within the chapter.  I rarely have seen so many alumnae members still hanging around the house--Sigs that I have only recently met who have accepted me so willingly, not to mention new brothers, as well.  This fraternity has made me realize that membership in Sigma Chi truly lasts a lifetime, and I can only hope to be amongst these fine men in years to come.
