I had been in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, for a couple of years before I really became close with the brothers of Sigma Chi, and at the time I didn’t feel like my university or Greek experience was lacking anything at all. But I had no idea what I was missing out on.

Sigma Chi uses the slogan “Men join fraternities; leaders of men join Sigma Chi.” That definitely holds true of the Sigma Chi’s I have met during my time at UBC. These are some exceptional men who have accomplished some extraordinary things, both for their chapter and in their own personal lives. I have seen Sigma Chi consistently get stronger every year, and continue to strive to be the best. If you look through this website, you will get just a glimpse of all the amazing things that have accomplished by the Delta Omicron Sigs.

What I will really take away from my time spent with Sigma Chi, though, is the friendships I have made. These men really are like brothers to me. I have been able to count on them to be there for me when I need them, and I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to give back to them as a Sweetheart.

Being the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I feel honoured to be included with such an amazing group of men.

Favourite music: The Fray, Colbie Caillat, The Wreckers, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, etc.
Favourite Sigma Chi event: Sweetheart Ball, and all the Derby Days and rush events during September – but the random unplanned times are usually the most fun
Interests: Travelling, cooking and baking, anything Latin (food, music, places...), geography and maps, being (and making everyone else be) environmentally conscious
Future plans: More travelling! And intermittently, some sort of job to pay for the travelling...
