About the Sigma Chi Fraternity

One, and the main, aim and object of Sigma Chi has been, and is, to develop and train broad-minded men who can recognize the wholeness of things and who are not bound down to a contracted, eight by ten notion of exclusiveness. There is an absolute necessity for such men.
— Founder Benjamin P. Runkle

The Delta Omicron Chapter

At UBC, the Sigma Chi Delta Omicron chapter is highly regarded due to its extensive campus involvement, service to the community, and positive social atmosphere. Sigma Chi has members sitting at the highest levels of student government, raises thousands of dollars annually for charity, organizes a multitude of community service projects, and hosts the most widely anticipated and attended social events at UBC.

Sigma Chi Delta Omicron best serves its purpose of accomplishing the ideals of Friendship, Justice and Learning by developing, implementing and monitoring programs that foster leadership, build character and promote positive relationship skills that, in turn, enable its members to become productive and caring participants in their universities, communities, and beyond.
